How can I become more involved?

There are several opportunities to become more involved in our mission to reduce substance abuse within our community. We value everyone’s contribution to prevention, treatment, and recovery, in whatever form that may be. Here are just a few ways members can help out.

  • Educate decision makers on current issues
  • Volunteer to call representatives
  • Attend LEARN meetings (Nebraska)
  • Assist with Legislative Breakfast in Nebraska or with creating a Legislative Breakfast event in Iowa
  • Assist in reaching out to and forming relationships with policy makers (NE and IA)
  • Inform community of presentations we offer
  • Spread PMP’s achievement and recognition
  • Become trained in prevention work and environmental strategies
  • Collaborate to create and implement a strategic plan.

  • Collaborate with PMP on new or creative ways to use your personal and professional expertise to the community’s advantage
